Looking For Quick And Effective Stress Relief?

EFT Tapping stress relief

Could this be the answer to stress and anxiety relief?

EFT Tapping is one of the best tools I have used with my clients for effective stress and anxiety relief. EFT also known as Tapping will quickly calm the body's physical response to stress.

Within a minute or two of tapping and sometimes less than a minute, is enough to bring relief from anxiety. That's great because it then allows for more deeper work to proceed but first you need to get that layer of anxiety out of the way. It's then easier to gently get to the real root of the anxiety.

You may have noticed within yourself that stress can creep up on you without you realizing. In fact, you'll often notice unusual emotional and physical symptoms first, which alert you to the possibility that somethings up!

The way life is nowadays we tend accept symptoms of stress as 'normal' and soldier on regardless. Yet this quick and easy to learn technique of Tapping will bring relief to the tensions of life and restore balance - and that may be enough to set you on your way. Sometimes more deeper work is needed but not always.

The beauty of EFT tapping is that it's a natural way for bringing relief from any stresses and anxiety. It soothes overwhelm and calms worry so that your body can take a rest from energy-sapping stress. Then you can regain balance and start enjoying life more.

There has been much research undertaken on EFT and has shown to be effective in treating Post Traumatic Stress Disorder ( PTSD), Fibromyalgia, Phobias, test anxiety and athletic performance.

What is EFT Tapping?

EFT otherwise known as Emotional Freedom Techniques and sometimes simply called "Tapping," is a technique that combines tapping upon certain acupuncture pressure points plus the benefits of conventional cognitive therapy to stimulate the body's natural healing processes.

This process of tapping the meridian energy points, while focusing upon specific statements, allows for release of emotional blocks to physical, emotional and performance issues. In many cases the results have been extraordinary and impressive.

In the video below, you will hear Professor Tony Stewart talking about EFT on the BBC Midlands news. Here, patients find relief from depression and anxiety.

The following video shows how EFT Tapping is applied in the field of sports. The commentators in this video are curious as to what Jorge Reyers is doing while he waits to play, and one commentator explains it is a holistic approach to help centre and relax the players and to stay focused.

They went on to win the college world series!

How does EFT Tapping work?

To understand how EFT works it's useful to understand that the body has an electro-magnetic system that delivers messages to all parts of the body. Medicine uses EEG's and ECG's to measure this electrical activity.

This natural energy system has been known in the East for over five thousand years as Chi or Prana. The redressing of this life force is the basis of their holistic approach to medicine.

The EFT Foundation Statement says that the cause of all negative emotions is a disruption in the body’s energy field.

It therefore follows that realignment of a disruption in the body's energy field eliminates the negative emotion and results in the elimination of the physical symptom.

The link between emotions and physical conditions

It is now widely understood that there is a powerful link between emotions and dis-ease. EFT Tapping is especially effective in addressing the emotional contributor that lies behind the physical symptom.

In today's fast-paced world many people experience the stresses of daily life at levels that are greater than is good for them. The resulting physical symptoms are many and varied ranging from dizziness to high blood pressure, back pain to IBS (irritable bowel syndrome).

EFT Tapping for stress and related symptoms

When the body is out of whack due to a surge of excess stress chemicals EFT Tapping calms the body down quickly and we feel better.

During the tapping process relief from stress can be felt within minutes if not within seconds. This may be enough to resolve the stress you are feeling in the moment, however to fully release stress traumas from our past, further work is sometimes required to get to the real root of the issue.

For instance, many of us have had experiences when growing up of being criticized or made to feel silly. I can recall the day I made a complete mess of speaking in front of my classmates wishing for the floor to swallow me up!

This is the kind of emotional ‘memory’ that remains active and for many people, as it did for me, form a strong belief that being the centre of attention and speaking out to a group of people was a terrifying and potentially dangerous position to put myself in!

The fear of course is exaggerated, and while I may consciously and intellectually look back and not think much of it now, an experience of looking silly does not always get forgotten.

Without realizing, we can feel anxiety in situations that our mind has matched to the past event. It only needs to be a partial match, which explains why we sometimes don’t know why we want to avoid certain situations.

The emotional part of the brain that has registered this wants to protect us from experiencing those unpleasant feelings again. It causes us to procrastinate, self-sabotage and give us physical symptoms such as a migraine!

This is where Tapping comes in to free the emotional contributor and restore balance in the body.

To summarise

EFT is an excellent and effective technique for releasing stress and anxiety in your life, allowing you to be free to pursue your goals and dreams without negative emotions blocking the path; and the great thing is that you can easily learn the technique yourself and use it to clear away any stressful situation, an upcoming event and anxiety.
